Dances, arias and virtuosities, the best of Baroque music. An unmissable morning during your stay in Genoa

This event provides an exclusive concert in the private Chapel with historical instruments and a guided tour in English language of the spectacular Private Apartments, which have been recently reopened to the public. We are at the center of the Palace, an authentic treasure of art enhanced with original paintings and furniture. Music and a guided tour will bring you back to the Renaissance and Baroque history of Genoa in the luxurious residence of the heroic commander Admiral Andrea Doria. This event is a must for those wanting to experience the authentic spirit, culture and music of Genoa.

The Villa del Principe is just a few steps from the Metro station “Principe” and the Train Station “Genova Principe”

Duration: about 70'

Venue: • Piazza del Principe 4 - Genova

The Palace, or Villa del Principe, is Genoa's most important residence from the Renaissance. Notorious Admiral Andrea Doria began construction of the Villa in 1529, and his successor, Giovanni Andrea I, completed this magnificent residence with gardens stretching all the way to the harbor.

The Palace and Private Apartments are a genuine treasure trove of art, with paintings and frescoes, including those from Sebastiano del Piombo, Bronzino and Perin del Vaga, as well as stuccos, precious furniture and magnificent tapestries. The perfectly preserved Renaissance garden decorated by a variety of beautiful plants, pergolas, fountains and sculptures, is one of the most valuable portions of the period.

Intellectually fulfilling and fun. It may not seem very touristic, but it would take your visit to Rome to another level.

Erkin Ozel, Turkey

The concert would have been enough with just the knowledgeable tour of the church. Add beautiful baroque music to that and I was in heaven.

We felt almost transported back in time. An experience not to be missed.
